Udipi Restaurant
Several communities have vegetarian Indian restaurants and Metro Detroit is no different. The owners of Udipi had wanted to make their strictly vegetarian restaurant kosher for many years before asking Rabbi Jason Miller of Kosher Michigan to certify their establishment. Udipi is located in an area of North Farmington with several Indian restaurants and food markets, but it's identification is unique in that it is the only Kosher Indian restaurant in Michigan.
Kosher consumers and those who adhere to a strict vegetarian diet come from all over to sample the delicious variety of Indian cuisine available at Udipi. The lunch buffet is extremely popular and Udipi also has a banquet room that can accommodate up to 100 guests. Udipi has catered bar/bat mitzvahs, rehearsal dinners, and weddings for those seeking a kosher affair that stands out from the rest.
